Living God’s Plan Through Natural Family Planning
I first joined the Prolife Movement of Kampala Archdiocese in 2012 as a student at Makerere
University. Inspired by the Church’s call to protect life and uphold human dignity, I came to
embrace Natural Family Planning (NFP) as God’s design for responsible parenthood.
When I married my wife in September 2016, we made a joint decision to practice NFP. Since
then, God has blessed us with four beautiful children—two girls and two boys—all well
spaced and conceived on plan. For us, NFP has been not only effective but also deeply
enriching to our marriage.
Unlike artificial contraceptives, which often come with health risks or side effects, NFP has
strengthened our communication, trust, and respect for each other. It has allowed us to
cooperate with God’s natural gift of fertility, and to welcome life joyfully.
Beyond our family, we have also guided other couples who were struggling with modern
contraceptives to embrace NFP. Many have found peace and renewed hope through this
natural, faith-based approach.
Natural Family Planning is not simply a method—it is a lifestyle rooted in faith, discipline,
and love. It reminds us that children are not accidents, but “a heritage from the Lord”
(Psalm 127:3).
I invite couples, especially the young, to discover the beauty of NFP. It is healthy, free of side
effects, and above all, it keeps God at the center of marriage and family life.
